Joining the Marine Corps Disbursing Association

Your Marine Corps Disbursing Association is looking forward to growing. You might ask yourself, just what are we about. We're about carrying on one of the oldest traditions of the Marine Corps: CAMARADERIE. We're about renewing old acquaintances, meeting new people with like interests, and sharing sea stories. Everyone has an experience to share, like the guy that did disbursing work from the stubby pencil, the hand crank adding machine, address-o-graph plates, and 80-column punch cards, to the computer. Yes, we have old timers...old, old timers...and even some newbies.

The association meets every two years in odd numbered years. Our next reunion is in 2011 in Las Vegas. And everyone's invited! It’s easy to get all the information you need, just go to our registration page to sign up.
However, if you would like to participate in guiding the association there is a membership fee. The Board of Directors determined that a minimum two years membership fee of $25 would insure that we have sufficient funds to cover the costs of maintaining the association. Although no one is reimbursed for their time or effort there are administrative expenses. Examples are maintenance of our web site and mailing costs. We also want to ensure that we can maintain a hospitality room at our gatherings and would like to establish and support a student scholarship program.
To be a voting member you must either work or have worked in the disbursing field or in direct support of disbursing, example: data processing and personnel administration. In addition your spouse/significant other, children or decedents are eligible to become voting members. A voting member application is available here for you to print off. (Use your browser's Back button to return to this page after printing.) Feel free to make as many copies as you like, however, a separate application is required for each member, example: one for you and separate one for you spouse.
