• Educational Assistance Program - Your Executive Committee has approved a program for providing financial assistance for continuing education. Marines, Marine Veterans, their children and grandchildren are eligible to apply. Requirements include acceptance to a post-secondary school, a GPA of at least 2.5, a 300-word essay, and letters of recommendation. Applications must be submitted between November 1, 2011 and April 30, 2012. Awards will be presented no later than June 30, 2012 Mail your application to the Marine Corps Disbursing Association, Education Assistance Program, 1014 Jenny Lillard Road, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342. • The Scholarship Committee and the Board of Directors congratulate the 2010 Scholarship winners. We awarded three scholarships each with a $500 grant this year. Best wishes for success go to the following: Erika Fuhrer, daughter of Colonel Thomas Fuhrer, USMC, who will be attending Duquesne University in Pittsburg, PA; Samantha Parrnelli, daughter of CWO4 Kathryn Parrnelli, USMC, who will be attending California State University in Chico, CA; Brendon Thiry, son of Major Jeffrey Thiry, USMC (Ret), who will be attending the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO.
